Our feet and toes, exactly like our hands ask attention.
To get a good look and be healthy. Especially when summer months and flip flop time is around a corner. Because pedicure can help you feel pampered and confident. A pedicure can be painful and ticklish.
Personally, I have never done a pedicure in the salon, I always manage to do this myself. My thoughts, I would feel uncomfortable to give my feet to someone, but I know those nail technicians are there exactly for this job., but still. Also, I am very very ticklish.
Let’s dig a bit deeper.
Overall, a pedicure is a simple treatment with foot soaking, scrubbing with a pumice stone or special file, nail shaping, foot massage and finish with nail polish.
Should you trim your nails before a pedicure?
The answer is no, don’t round them, because it’s can cause ingrown when they grow back.
Don’t shave your legs.
At least 24 hours before a pedicure. Because you can leave small cuts and you can put yourself at risk to be infected.
Avoid pedicure visits in winter or cold months.
It won’t be joyful to go home in flip flops. If you really need to, wrap your toes in plastic bags before putting your socks on, and don’t wear boots on a heel. They will put extra pressure on the nails and destroy all the joy.
Don’t leave any moisture between toes.
Because in a time it can bring you to the fungal infection.
Don’t wear skinny jeans.
Which are too tight, as you have to roll up your trousers. Wear or take with you flip flops, as there need about two hours for nail polish to set properly.
I have never done a pedicure in the salon, I always manage to do this myself.
Bonus
Place your visit to the salon as early in the morning as you can. Footbaths get dirtier when the day goes. Also, make sure that the footbath is cleaned before your use.
If you feel that something goes wrong after pedicure has been done, for your own safety visit a podiatrist (chiropodist).
Take care of your feet.
