Shellac vs …

shellac

Shellac is a form of permanent nail polish.

Shellac polish is a mixture of methacrylate monomers and radical initiators.

It can be applied to natural nails,

As well on soft gels, hard gels, and acrylic nails.

Shellac is not strong enough for tips.

Shellac requires UV light to cure.

It’s easier to remove than gel and it’s kinder to your nails.

Do not apply

Do not apply Shellac base coat, go straight to the color.

Shellac nails should stay shiny for 14 to 21 days if you take reasonable care of them.

You can’t go wrong with either shellac or gel they both last, but Shellac nails are partially made with standard polish, so they are more vulnerable to chipping than gel nails.

Nails don’t breathe under polishes they need a break from any type of coating.

Shellac nail polish can remove

by soak-off method, cotton peace’s soaked in acetone and wrapped around your nail in aluminum foil. If your nails become damaged through Shellac, you can apply a moisturizer and good cuticle oil and cover your hands with cotton gloves

Look after your hands.
